Erik Brun, a Cal Poly history graduate and military veteran, is a retired U.S. Army Lieutenant Colonel and military historian based right here on the Central Coast. He specializes in World War II history of American units composed of marginalized or minority groups. He frequently lectures and leads tours for local museums and historical societies. He tells the story about the role of the Morro Bay Naval Base during World War II.
