Veterans Day Community Celebration
November 11 @ 10:00 am - 3:00 pm
The Central Coast Veterans Memorial Museum (CCVMM) is hosting their annual Veterans Day Community Celebration! This year marks their 20th year anniversary. All community members are invited to stop by for special activities, a hot dog lunch from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm, and free admission to the museum’s newest exhibition, “Snapshots of Central Coast Military History”, co-curated with military historians Daniel Sebby (California Military Museums) and Erik Brun (California National Guard Museum).
In addition to free museum tours, there will be an Appreciation Station setup for letter writing and crafts to be distributed to local veterans in 2023. Visitors are invited to bring a photo of their Central Coast Veteran from past or present (copy of photo recommended) to add to the museum’s Hometown Heroes photo wall. A Vitalant blood drive will be onsite (pre-register online), sponsored by American Legion Post 66, as well as a bounce house for the kids, and historic military vehicles on display! Organizations have been invited to setup information tables outside including Second Life K-9 Rescue Dogs, South County Historical Society, and various veteran service agencies. Bring your family, bring a friend or just bring yourself, we hope to see you on Veterans Day! Visit: www.vetmuseum.org/events
